So I'd suggest something with your name and birth year or something... like i'd be; Juliereid1994@...

How do i talk to my friend when he has an msn hotmail address?
I think the best solution is the get a hotmail address and use that one to talk to him.Or have him get a yahoo address.I dont think you can use yahoo to chat with him unless he has a yahoo address also. Good luck
Why can i not send emails to a hotmail address in the uk?
It is likely a server/system problem. I send to hotmail addresses in UK regularly and haven't had any trouble (although I haven't tried within the last couple of weeks). If you are using Yahoo, they have been doing a lot of re-development work on the Yahoo Mail system, so this might be the problem.

I don't think there's a way you can do them both at the same time. If you want to change the password on an existing email address then just go into your settings and there should be an option. I don't think there is a way to change your address, though... like if you wanted to keep all your emails, etc but have a different email address. I think you'd have to just start a new account.

I have to setup a friend's Gmail address to fetch her mail from Hotmail, but I'm having problems and Hotmail doesn't seem to respond. Does anyone know if it is possible to fetch mail from Hotmail with POP in the first place and - if so - how?

To Tell you the truth I really don't know. But, I know that you can mark the messages that [certain contact] sends you as JUNK MAIL. so you won't see the messages when you go to "INBOX" but if you go to "JUNK MAIL" than you will....But, on Yahoo I know there is a way to block and I have done so. I'm not sure 4 HOTMAIL but I'm pretty sure they will have a way. If you have MSN MESSENGER there is a way to block by going to "TOOLS" "PERSONAL SETTINGS", "PRIVACY" and go down ur contacts and block which ever 1 u dont want and I'm pretty sure that, that will block them from emailing you too!! You can try to report the junk mail to microsoft but that hardly ever works. I had the same thing happen to me, and I eventually had to get a whole new email address.

For the past two weeks the MSN network has been blocking my emails. Every time I email one of my friends,my emails come back with a error 550 policy violation. I email MSN customer support,yet they ignore me. I asked my email provider and they don't know why msn would be blocking me. I can email other people who have yahoo,gmail or any other company email.Yet I can't email those with msn or hotmail. Is this practice illegal?anti-trust or something.I don't see how a company can block communications. I use linux as an OS and sylpheed for my email. never had a problem before. For instance, you can change your email add. to whatever you like it to be if you use Outlook Express or Outlook.

There are still a few stray files that are a little harder to remove. Go to "All Files" and "My Documents" to look for anything with the AOL extension and delete it.
Also click on Start -%26gt; All Programs to see if anything connected to AOL is in there to delete also.

I have a header of a hotmail email, but do not know where to find the senders ip address. It is kind of like two emails, because the sender was answering my email when we were friends. This person became hostile and insulting in another chat after four years and I blocked him. I know he is in Greece, but he somehow has much information about me that I did not give him. I am trying to find info. about him, but I am sure he was not giving his real name, as I did not give him mine. He knows everything about me, even called my home number and I am in usa. I did not give him this info, but he said if one knows how to search they can find everything. I am not up todate on internet as I should be. I only saved the email from last month.

In the deail header section you will find the sender's ip at the bottom, one ip will be of Hotmail server (which is not required) and the other one should be from where he has mailed you. Check that.
Though there are places where you can get more details from an IP address. Go to www.easywhois.com and find more detail from the ip address there. Just check all his mails and their IP, whether they are coming from same place or not? If it is coming from same place then he is not surfing annonymously and you have some hope.
He may have got your phone no. and other details from several possible sources, a) your friends or someone common to both of you b) may have got details from your PC only while you were chatting. I read once that there are security concerns in some messengers.

As you could see, it is not the Sender IP but the email server
There are several things you could do to verify some information (but not a gurantee). Microsoft (MSN and Hotmail services) have multiple smtp servers and it is possible (unless they just have one primary portal) and see where it is coming from.
*** Note: This is not a guarantee and usually, forensic computer investigator could then get a warrany to see the remaining information from Microsoft's end ***
Look for the IP Address of the email server:
Global: 65.54.169.26
Specific Relay: 65.54.169.200
These are features out there but could be blocked by your ISP or Hotmail (for security). But You could try to trace the location of the email server (usually, email relay is at least one per country) or whois to see where the IP allotment is registered (and usually located)
You could do a tracert (inside command prompt : Start --%26gt; Run then cmd and press Enter)

Get a new screenname and email from a different source. Ip addresses change unless you have a static ip, so I doubt that hotmail attaches it, but there are a lot of ways hackers can get information and I'm not an expert. I would also change my im/surfing habits to try and avoid this person

Reply:if use a e-mail provider like yahoo,hotmail,gmail or any other then the origin ip will be the server of the provider and not his/her personal IP this will only be the case if they have their own e-mail server running on the pc from which they r sending the mail... sorry, of course he could have found that information by using google and ur name or nick, try googlin urself and c if u find any info, another often used approach is to use a fake instant messenger account and just chat with u, pretending to be some1 else, get the needed info and then go on... and if he got ur real name, which u might use in ur instant messenger or in ur e-mail address, then it is not difficult to find out ur phone number using online resources...

Does a email using a hotmail address provide the sender ip?
In the deail header section you will find the sender's ip at the bottom, one ip will be of Hotmail server (which is not required) and the other one should be from where he has mailed you. Check that.
Though there are places where you can get more details from an IP address. Go to www.easywhois.com and find more detail from the ip address there. Just check all his mails and their IP, whether they are coming from same place or not? If it is coming from same place then he is not surfing annonymously and you have some hope.
He may have got your phone no. and other details from several possible sources, a) your friends or someone common to both of you b) may have got details from your PC only while you were chatting. I read once that there are security concerns in some messengers.

As you could see, it is not the Sender IP but the email server
There are several things you could do to verify some information (but not a gurantee). Microsoft (MSN and Hotmail services) have multiple smtp servers and it is possible (unless they just have one primary portal) and see where it is coming from.
*** Note: This is not a guarantee and usually, forensic computer investigator could then get a warrany to see the remaining information from Microsoft's end ***
Look for the IP Address of the email server:
Global: 65.54.169.26
Specific Relay: 65.54.169.200
These are features out there but could be blocked by your ISP or Hotmail (for security). But You could try to trace the location of the email server (usually, email relay is at least one per country) or whois to see where the IP allotment is registered (and usually located)
You could do a tracert (inside command prompt : Start --%26gt; Run then cmd and press Enter)

In the top right of ur MSN screen is a "Show Menu" Button. From here go to Contacts and Save Instant messaging Contacts.
Once saved you can then Import them to another account using the "Import IM Contacts"

1. Either you or someone with your password has deleted the account, accidentally or deliberately
2. You are not typing the address correctly because of a keyboard problem such as a bad key or wrong language selection.

How do I access my old hotmail - now that i've gone hotmail live.I used identical e-mail address and password.
I inadvertently lost my old e-mail access when I created a new e-mail address on hotmail live. I regrettably used the same e-mail address and pasword as my old hotmail. So now when I seek entry to my Hotmail I only get access to my hotmail live. Any suggestions?

You don't have to.
Because you have kept the same email address anyone sending you emails won't know that you have swapped, so it makes no difference to them.
As far as your contacts/saved messages are concerned, they will or should have come to your hotmail Live when you swapped. I know mine did and I kept the same email address.
I think if you want to swap back there is an option within Hotmail live to go back to hotmail classic

Here are two links to a forum that has great help with screen shots on either how to change your e-mail or create a new one. I suggest you create your Hotmail account using the Windows Live version because that always ends in a *.com!

Error page. So it says your not allowed or got accused of being a Spammer right. Yep Hotmail is tough to email now unless you have an account with them.

there no option in hotmail like this...but u can use this option in outlook express by sending ur email from it and ask for notification when read..i do it many time..but the default option don't support that so u must change ur outlook option

If you are just typing "hotmail" your browser is taking it as a search word, not a location.
