Can a trance someones IP Address through hotmail?

I have ben getting multiple harassing e mails from someone. And i some ideas of who it is, i just need to know what country the e mails are coming from. Is there a way i can do this ?

You need only email header from email that you would like to trace and that's all.

Reply:ya it is possible, if they are using a e-mail server. But you need to have to set to show all the header ( I not know how to do this in hotmail snice the update)





Usually you could tell that if you try to e-mail them back and you get a message that it is not deliverable, usually means they are using a e-mail server. Most spam are like this.








If this was through MSN messenger, it is not possible. Unless there is a file transfer in progress.
Reply:Typically the answer is NO. If you had a situation where the authorities were involved, then Microsoft could provide that to the authorities. Even if the address was an American one, that doesn't mean the person was in America using it. You can set up a Canadian Yahoo account from anywhere, but you don't have to be in Canada to use it.
Reply:With MSN you can attain someones IP with the simple "art" of reverting. If you can get the person to message you on MSN, and you read up on reverting, it shouldn't be hard to do at all.

You DO have the choice of opening it.


Go to mail Options and set all emails to go to the junk folder unless they are in your contacts. If they are in your contacts, then stop whining!
