Somebody is using my hotmail e-mail address to sign up for things..??

I keep getting things from these companies and other people that I've never heard of. I don't know why or how but someone is using my hotmail e-mail address to sign up for things. I changed my password just to be sure but I'm still getting odd e-mails and a LOT!! How do I stop this?!

call up the company and cancel your account sorry but some hacker knows your info so even when you change your password or get new info somehow they will hack into you account again i had an aim and i kept changing my password and finally they made up a password for the account and they were acting like me and put weird pics on the profile sorry but you have to get a new one it's the safest thing to do
Reply:Even if you changed your password, once your email has been signed up for something, THOUSANDS of spam sites are sent your email to send there garbage too. You can try to report the junk mail to microsoft but that hardly ever works. I had the same thing happen to me, and I eventually had to get a whole new email address.
Reply:changing the password was an excellent idea. if you have any other online things with the same password those should also be changed. as far as stopping the e-mails, at the bottom of every e-mail there is a link to cancel the mailings from their company. you will need to do that for every single one. or you can sign up for a gmail account and forward all mail from your hotmail account. gmail has an excellent spam filter making that whole other process unnecessary.
Reply:Keep deleting them and marking them as junk.

Chances are, you got yourself on those junk mail lists by signing up for a 'free offer' or filling out a contest entry for the Publisher's Clearinghouse.

Don't open them. Get rid of them. And chalk it up as a lesson learned.
Reply:Not a whole lot of things you can do about that, you can, however, block all of the bad emails you get so you don't get anymore from the same sites.
Reply:I don't think you can stop this. It sounds like your email may have been spoofed. I believe the only thing you can do is get a new email address. I hate when that happens, I feel for you.
Reply:okay email me ur password, and i will get it to be so that no one can use ur email. unless u dont want to:

jojobcool7@yahoo.com

or go 2 my site jojobcool.blogspot.com and yeah just email me it!
Reply:If you have changed your password and it still hasn't worked then I would suggest just creating a new email and not telling anyone except the people whom you really and truly trust.
Reply:well you can always cancel the account and make a new one.
Reply:O it's spam! I get the same thing, go to one of the sites and remove your email addy from it.......that should cause a chain reaction so they will stop.
Reply:somebody must have signed you up for offers so the site keep sending you offers {spam}
Reply:Try reporting the mail as junk.
Reply:get a brand new emaill address, asap %26amp; don't use the same password
Reply:It's me. Ugghhh had to confess. So sorry. lol jk i dont even know you!
