I want to use outlook express with my hotmail address but it wont let me. what do i do?

i do not think outlook express is compatible with hotmail. outlook express is a piece of software that connects to your internet provider for email while hotmail is "server-based." it handles email via its own servers. if your internet provider were handling the hotmail service, then your email could be routed through outlook express, but hotmail transmits email independent of your internet provider.
