Does anyone know how to delete a Yahoo and/or MSN/Hotmail email address?

I have two extra email addresses that I do not need anymore, one here on Yahoo and one on MSN, a Hotmail account. I do not know for sure how to delete an email address from either site, and any advice would be appreciated!! Thanks!

Assuming they are not the administrator email addresses,


go into "my account" and delete/suspend the email accounts.


The only way to delete an administrator email account is to cancel the ISP account.

Reply:let it go for 30 days, and it will be gone into LaLaLand...Yahoo/Hotmail/etc are webservers (not ISPs=Internet Service Providers)...and when you don't sign in for 30 days, you (AND NO ONE ELSE) would ever have access to it again---not even with your updated password.


Just let them go, and start a new one.


I print out the signup page with the info I give (incl. the password --- I write it on the page bcz they don't print it)...and save it so I don't give the same password for any 2 or more accounts. I have a folder entitled "Yahoo Mailboxes"...just for those printouts.


I pick the password based on the 'screen-name'. Like if it were you1976@yahoo.com (your name + the year you were born)...the password would be like a song popular that year, or the street my parents lived on....get it?
