I made a new hotmail account. if i put my old email as the Alternate Email Address?
No, it doesn't. You have to forward 'em to your new addy.
But if you modify the setting "forward emails to another addy", the new arrived emails will forward to the other one.
PS.
Be sure to sign in to your old email account once a month, to keep it activated, so you can get the password back if you loose it.

Go to mail.com or email.com (i honestly don't remember which). You can select the address that works with the industry you're in, region you live, etc. Hope this helps.

But, I know that you can mark the messages that [certain contact] sends you as JUNK MAIL. so you won't see the messages when you go to "INBOX" but if you go to "JUNK MAIL" than you will....But, on Yahoo I know there is a way to block and I have done so. I'm not sure 4 HOTMAIL but I'm pretty sure they will have a way. If you have MSN MESSENGER there is a way to block by going to "TOOLS" "PERSONAL SETTINGS", "PRIVACY" and go down ur contacts and block which ever 1 u dont want and I'm pretty sure that, that will block them from emailing you too!! You can try to report the junk mail to microsoft but that hardly ever works. I had the same thing happen to me, and I eventually had to get a whole new email address.

For the past two weeks the MSN network has been blocking my emails. Every time I email one of my friends,my emails come back with a error 550 policy violation. I email MSN customer support,yet they ignore me. I asked my email provider and they don't know why msn would be blocking me. I can email other people who have yahoo,gmail or any other company email.Yet I can't email those with msn or hotmail. Is this practice illegal?anti-trust or something.I don't see how a company can block communications. I use linux as an OS and sylpheed for my email. never had a problem before. Nathan. While you are technically correct, MSN is not owned by hotmail, you seem to be unaware that MSN and Hotmail are divisions of the same company, Microsoft. Microsoft bought hotmail several years ago. Just for your knowledge, since you seem to not know that.

First click on Start-%26gt; Control Panel -%26gt; Add/Remove programs. Find anything connected with AOL and click uninstall.
There are still a few stray files that are a little harder to remove. Go to "All Files" and "My Documents" to look for anything with the AOL extension and delete it.
Also click on Start -%26gt; All Programs to see if anything connected to AOL is in there to delete also.

I have a header of a hotmail email, but do not know where to find the senders ip address. It is kind of like two emails, because the sender was answering my email when we were friends. This person became hostile and insulting in another chat after four years and I blocked him. I know he is in Greece, but he somehow has much information about me that I did not give him. I am trying to find info. about him, but I am sure he was not giving his real name, as I did not give him mine. He knows everything about me, even called my home number and I am in usa. I did not give him this info, but he said if one knows how to search they can find everything. I am not up todate on internet as I should be. I only saved the email from last month.

In the deail header section you will find the sender's ip at the bottom, one ip will be of Hotmail server (which is not required) and the other one should be from where he has mailed you. Check that.
Though there are places where you can get more details from an IP address. Go to www.easywhois.com and find more detail from the ip address there. Just check all his mails and their IP, whether they are coming from same place or not? If it is coming from same place then he is not surfing annonymously and you have some hope.
He may have got your phone no. and other details from several possible sources, a) your friends or someone common to both of you b) may have got details from your PC only while you were chatting. I read once that there are security concerns in some messengers.

There are several things you could do to verify some information (but not a gurantee). Microsoft (MSN and Hotmail services) have multiple smtp servers and it is possible (unless they just have one primary portal) and see where it is coming from.

Look for the IP Address of the email server:

These are features out there but could be blocked by your ISP or Hotmail (for security). But You could try to trace the location of the email server (usually, email relay is at least one per country) or whois to see where the IP allotment is registered (and usually located)
You could do a tracert (inside command prompt : Start --%26gt; Run then cmd and press Enter)

But since he is calling you, can't you get the Phone ID of caller through the telephone company?

Get a new screenname and email from a different source. Ip addresses change unless you have a static ip, so I doubt that hotmail attaches it, but there are a lot of ways hackers can get information and I'm not an expert. Does a email using a hotmail address provide the sender ip?
In the deail header section you will find the sender's ip at the bottom, one ip will be of Hotmail server (which is not required) and the other one should be from where he has mailed you. Check that.
Though there are places where you can get more details from an IP address. Go to www.easywhois.com and find more detail from the ip address there. Just check all his mails and their IP, whether they are coming from same place or not? If it is coming from same place then he is not surfing annonymously and you have some hope.
He may have got your phone no. and other details from several possible sources, a) your friends or someone common to both of you b) may have got details from your PC only while you were chatting. I read once that there are security concerns in some messengers.

In the top right of ur MSN screen is a "Show Menu" Button. From here go to Contacts and Save Instant messaging Contacts.
Once saved you can then Import them to another account using the "Import IM Contacts"

go into "my account" and delete/suspend the email accounts.

Just let them go, and start a new one.

Reply:let it go for 30 days, and it will be gone into LaLaLand...Yahoo/Hotmail/etc are webservers (not ISPs=Internet Service Providers)...and when you don't sign in for 30 days, you (AND NO ONE ELSE) would ever have access to it again---not even with your updated password.

I'm not extremely familiar with hotmail, but see if you can access it through POP and set it up in Outlook. Then you could just do them all at once. On the site though...I think you're SOL.

Because you have kept the same email address anyone sending you emails won't know that you have swapped, so it makes no difference to them.
As far as your contacts/saved messages are concerned, they will or should have come to your hotmail Live when you swapped. I know mine did and I kept the same email address.

1. Go through your ISP. The IP address is blocked.

Reply:you can set up your email software to block that email address. i never heard of him so i don't know but if he emailing you teenage daugher could be what dose your dauther have on her info page maybe you really need to look at it and edit for her take of stuff you don't want anyone to know. like age name locataction city state. you can block that person or change your email and just give it to people you know. you can try emailing that person asking them to stop but i dought that will work. best just to block them from emailing you. and make sure you talk to your daughet tell her what to say and what not to like phone # address where she lives or gose to school friends family info.lot of slim out there looking for easy prey just teach her what to look for and what to and not to say good luck hope hit helps

Reply:There is no way of telling, you did not say how old your daughter is. Obviously that is very relevant if we are taking 12 years or younger quite simply she should not be on the web alone. The most important security device on your daughters computer is YOU. Talk to her, let her know your concerns and then learn to trust each other.
